  • One Company attached to Hq 8th Army as security guard. Another company provided guards for GHQ, FEAF and 7th Fleet Hqs. Third company to provide security for Tanauan Air Strip. Another company provided security for Tacloban Air Strip. Attached to X Corps on arrival in Leyte. CP at Catbalogan, Samar. Regiment’s mission to mop up on Samar and provide certain guard details.
  • 18 Feb - Cleared highway No. 1, Calbaloga to Calbayog; maintained road blocks; initiated action against any enemy within striking distance of Calbayog.
  • 15 Mar - Regt. At Calbayog, continued mopping up operations on Samar; also maintained garrisons.
  • 16 Mar 45 - 1st Filipino Regt. Delivered supplies to Allen, Capul and Burl.
  • 7 May - moved to Ormoc
