  • Activated 24 April 1947 at Mobile, Alabama
  • Redesignated 26 January 1948 as the 498th Transportation Port Company
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; on 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Inactivated 1 July 1950 at Mobile, Alabama
  • Redesignated 27 June 1955 as the 498th Transportation Company
  • Activated 11 July 1955 at Mobile, Alabama
  • Ordered into active military service 1 October 1961 at Mobile Alabama; released from active military service 5 August 1962 and reverted to reserve status
  • Ordered into active military service 15 December 2003 at Mobile, Alabama; released from active military service 11 June 2005 and reverted to reserve status
  • Ordered into active military service 25 April 2009 at Mobile, Alabama; released from active military service 29 May 2010 and reverted to reserve status
