Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 19 February 1944 as the 478th Amphibian Truck Company, Transportation Corps

Inactivated 10 February 1946 on Okinawa

Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 372d Transportation Amphibious Truck Company and allotted to the Organized Reserves

Activated 2 June 1947 at Beaumont, Texas

(Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)

Inactivated 17 August 1950 at Beaumont, Texas

Redesignated 23 March 1966 as the 372d Transportation Company; concurrently withdrawn from the Army Reserve and allotted to the Regular Army

Activated 1 June 1966 at Fort Riley, Kansas

Inactivated 20 September 1968 at Fort Riley, Kansas

Activated 20 December 1968 in Vietnam
