Converted and redesignated 1 August 1946 as the 3340th Transportation Corps Driver Detachment

Redesignated 5 November 1962 as the 340th Transportation Detachment and allotted to the Army Reserve

Activated 1 March 1963 at Galveston, Texas

Location changed 29 December 1967 to Beaumont, Texas

Inactivated 15 March 1972 at Beaumont, Texas

Activated 16 April 1980 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Location changed 1 September 1981 to Fort McCoy, Wisconsin

Ordered into active military service 20 September 1990 at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin; released from active military service 3 June 1991 and reverted to reserve status

Location changed 30 December 1993 to Los Angeles, California; later to Sherman Oaks, California; and on 1 August 2002 to Camp Pendleton, California

Ordered into active military service 3 January 2004 at Camp Pendleton, California; released from active military service 30 June 2005 and reverted to reserve status
