- Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 2000 as the 244th Support Detachment
- Ordered into active Federal service 8 January 2003 at Machesney Park; released from active Federal service 15 October 2003 and reverted to state control
- Ordered into active Federal service 5 November 2005 at Machesney Park; released from active Federal service 3 May 2007 and reverted to state control
