  • Constituted 23 July 1918 in the National Army as Headquarters, 175th Field Artillery Brigade, and assigned to the 100th Division
  • Demobilized 30 November 1918
  • Reconstituted 24 June 1921 in the Organized Reserves as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 175th Field Artillery Brigade, and assigned to the 100th Division
  • Organized in December 1921 at Parkersburg, West Virginia
  • Reorganized and redesignated 23 February 1942 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 100th Division Artillery
  • Ordered into active military service 15 November 1942 and reorganized at Fort Jackson, South Carolina
  • Inactivated 10 January 1946 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia
  • Redesignated 15 October 1946 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 100th Airborne Division Artillery
  • Headquarters activated 23 October 1946 at Louisville, Kentucky; Headquarters Battery activated 20 December 1946 at Louisville
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 12 May 1952 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 100th Division Artillery
  • Reorganized and redesignated 17 April 1959 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 100th Regiment, an element of the 100th Division (Training) (organic elements concurrently organized as new units)
  • Regiment ordered into active military service 25 September 1961 at Louisville, Kentucky; released from active military service 15 August 1962 and reverted to reserve status
  • Reorganized 26 January 1968 to consist of the 1st and 2d Battalions, elements of the 100th Division (Training)
  • Reorganized 5 July 1971 to consist of the 1st, 2d, and 3d Battalions, elements of the 100th Division (Training)
  • 1st, 2d, and 3d Battalions inactivated 1 August 1973 and relieved from assignment to the 100th Division (Training)
  • Regiment reorganized 16 November 1996 to consist of the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Battalions, elements of the 100th Division (Institutional Training)
  • Reorganized 17 October 2005 to consist of the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Battalions, elements of the 100th Division (Institutional Training)
  • Elements ordered into active military service for the War on Terrorism
  • (9th and 10th Battalions relieved 1 October 2006 from assignment to the 100th Division [Institutional Training])
  • Reorganized 15 July-15 August 2008 to consist of the 1st, 2d, 3d, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Battalions, elements of the 100th Division (Institutional Training)
  • (1st, 2d, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 13th Battalions relieved 1 October 2008 from assignment to the 100th Division [Institutional Training])
