- Reconstituted 3 December 2009 in the Regular Army and redesignated as Headquarters, Headquarters and Service Company, 51st Psychological Operations Battalion (organic elements concurrently constituted)
- Battalion redesignated 14 March 2011 as the 7th Psychological Operations Battalion
- Activated 16 October 2011 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
