Converted and redesignated 16 March 1956 as the 728th Field Artillery Battalion
Battalion broken up 1 May 1959 and its elements reorganized and redesignated as follows:
Headquarters, Headquarters and Service Battery and Medical Detachment consolidated, converted, and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 110th Ordnance Battalion
(Remainder of battalion reorganized and redesignated as various elements of the Kansas Army National Guard – hereafter separate lineages)
Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 110th Ordnance Battalion, reorganized and redesignated 15 October 1965 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 110th Ordnance Battalion
Personnel transferred 1 January 1979 to Detachment 1, Command and Control Headquarters, Kansas Army National Guard; transferred 1 June 1980 to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 287th Maintenance Battalion
Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1991 at Norton as the 170th Maintenance Company
