  • Inducted into Federal service 25 November 1940 at Opelika
  • (Headquarters, 31st Division redesignated 27 February 1942 as Headquarters, 31st Infantry Division)
  • Inactivated 20 December 1945 at Camp Stoneman, California
  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 13 February 1947 at Opelika as Company A, 200th Infantry, an element of the 31st Infantry Division
  • (Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 167th Infantry [NGUS], organized and Federally recognized 7 April 1953 at Opelika)
  • Released 15 June 1954 from active Federal service, reverted to state control, and redesignated as Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 167th Infantry; Federal recognition concurrently withdrawn from Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 167th Infantry (NGUS)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 2 May 1959 as Headquarters Company, 2d Battle Group, 167th Infantry
  • Converted and redesignated 15 April 1963 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 231st Armor Group, and relieved from assignment to the 31st Infantry Division
  • Ordered into active Federal service 11 June 1963 at Opelika; released 16 June 1963 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 10 September 1963 at Opelika; released 12 September 1963 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Consolidated 15 January 1968 with Company C, 2d Battalion, 152d Armor (organized and Federally recognized 15 April 1963 at Opelika), and consolidated unit converted and redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 23lst Military Police Battalion
  • Converted and redesignated 1 September 1981 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 111th Ordnance Group
  • Ordered into active Federal service 4 February 1991 at Opelika; released 23 September 1991 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 27 November 2002 at Opelika; released from active Federal service 21 January 2004 and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 24 January 2010 at Opelika; released from active Federal service 27 February 2011 and reverted to state control
