Inactivated 10 November 1945 at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana

Redesignated 27 December 1948 as the 439th Military Police Criminal Investigation Detachment and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps

Activated 1 February 1949 at Wichita, Kansas

Inactivated 17 November 1950 at Wichita, Kansas

(Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)

Activated 16 September 1988 at Omaha, Nebraska, as the 439th Military Police Detachment

Ordered into active military service 4 January 1991 at Omaha, Nebraska; released from active military service 25 May 1991 and reverted to reserve status

Ordered into active military service 7 December 2003 at Omaha Nebraska; released from active military service 3 June 2005 and reverted to reserve status
