  • Organized and Federally recognized 30 August 1927 in the Mississippi National Guard at Canton as Company D, 155th Infantry, an element of the 31st Division (later designated as the 31st Infantry Division)
  • Inducted into Federal service 25 November 1940 at Canton
  • Inactivated 12 December 1945 at Camp Stoneman, California
  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 22 October 1946 in the Mississippi National Guard as Headquarters Company, 155th Infantry, an element of the 31st Infantry Division
  • Ordered into active Federal service 16 January 1951 at Canton
  • (Headquarters Company, 155th Infantry [NGUS] organized and Federally recognized 19 January 1953 at Canton)
  • Released from active Federal service 15 June 1954 and reverted to state control; concurrently, Federal recognition withdrawn from Headquarters Company, 155th Infantry (NGUS)
  • Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 May 1959 as Company A, 1st Medium Tank Battalion, 198th Armor, an element of the 31st Infantry Division
  • Ordered into active Federal service 30 September 1962 at Canton; released from active Federal service 5 October 1962 and reverted to state control
  • Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 May 1963 as Company B, 3d Battalion, 155th Infantry, an element of the 31st Infantry Division
  • Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 15 February 1968 as the 114th Military Police Company, and relieved from assignment to the 31st Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1978 as Detachment 2, 114th Military Police Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 12 September 1990 at Canton; released from active Federal service 21 May 1991 and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 27 December 1995 at Canton; released from active Federal service 7 September 1996 and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 6 January 2002 at Canton; released from active Federal service 5 January 2003 and reverted to state control
  • Ordered into active Federal service 23 February 2003 at Canton; released from active Federal service 22 February 2004 and reverted to state control
  • Consolidated 1 September 2006 with the 114th Military Police Company (see ANNEX), and consolidated unit designated as the 114th Military Police Company; concurrently, location changed to Clinton
  • Ordered into active Federal service 3 August 2009 at Clinton; released from active Federal service 6 September 2010 and reverted to state control
