  • Organized and Federally recognized 24 March 1964 in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard at Johnstown as the 4th Military Police and Security Platoon, 28th Military Police Company, an element of the 28th Infantry Division1
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 November 1965 as the 28th Military Police Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 22 June 2007 at Johnstown; released from active Federal service 16 July 2008 and reverted to state control
