Relieved 6 April 1951 from assignment to the 3d Infantry Division
Assigned 2 December 1954 to the 3d Infantry Division
Relieved 1 July 1957 from assignment to the 3d Infantry Division and reorganized as a parent regiment under the Combat Arms

Withdrawn 16 June 1989 from the Combat Arms Regimental System, reorganized under the United States Army Regimental System, and
transferred to the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command
