  • Redesignated 19 February 1962 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Battalion, 11th Infantry, assigned to the 5th Infantry Division, and activated at Fort Carson, Colorado (organic elements concurrently constituted and activated)
  • Relieved 15 December 1970 from assignment to the 5th Infantry Division and assigned to the 4th Infantry Division
  • Inactivated 1 June 1972 at Fort Carson, Colorado, and relieved from assignment to the 4th Infantry Division
  • Headquarters transferred 14 August 1987 to the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command and activated at Fort Benning, Georgia
