- Consolidated 1 June 1986 with Company D, 1138th Engineer Battalion (organized and Federally recognized 31 December 1986 at Macon); consolidated unit designated as Company D, 1138th Engineer Battalion, and location changed to Macon
- Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1993 as Company A, 110th Engineer Battalion
- Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 2006 as the 1438th Engineer Company
- Ordered into active Federal service 13 June 2013 at Macon; released from active Federals service 17 July 2014 and reverted to state control
