  • Constituted 5 May 1942 in the Army of the United States as Company E, 55th Armored Engineer Battalion, an element of the 10th Armored Division
  • Activated 15 July 1942 at Fort Benning, Georgia
  • Redesignated 20 September 1943 as the 994th Engineer Treadway Bridge Company and relieved from assignment to the 10th Armored Division
  • Inactivated 1 December 1945 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey
  • Allotted 7 February 1947 to the Organized Reserves
  • Activated 27 February 1947 at Allentown, Pennsylvania
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Inactivated 14 September 1950 at Allentown, Pennsylvania
  • Redesignated 16 October 1984 as the 994th Engineer Company and activated at Grand Junction, Colorado
  • Inactivated 15 June 1999 at Grand Junction, Colorado
  • Activated 16 September 2008 at Denver, Colorado
  • Ordered into active military service 12 February 2010 at Denver, Colorado; released from active military service 18 March 2011 and reverted to reserve status
