• Ordered into active Federal service 28 November 2010 at Fresno; released from active Federal service 1 January 2012 and reverted to state control

• Constituted 1 November 2002 in the California Army National Guard as Company D, 140th Aviation
• Organized and Federally recognized 8 May 2003 at Fresno
• Ordered into active Federal service 7 July 2003 at Fresno; released from active Federal service 18 July 2004 and reverted to state control
• (140th Aviation redesignated 1 October 2005 as the 140th Aviation Regiment)
