    • Reorganized and redesignated 13 August 1956 as the 448th Civil Affairs and Military Government Company
    • Redesignated 10 December 1959 as the 448th Civil Affairs Company
    • Location changed in 1983 to Fort Lewis, Washington
    • Reorganized and redesignated 16 September 1992 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 448th Civil Affairs Battalion (organic elements concurrently constituted and activated)
    • (Element ordered into active military service 7 January 2002 at Fort Lewis, Washington; released from active military service 3 October 2002 and reverted to reserve status)
    • (Element ordered into active military service 22 September 2003 at Fort Lewis, Washington; released from active military service 17 June 2004 and reverted to reserve status)
    • Battalion ordered into active military service 30 August 2004-15 December 2005 at Fort Lewis, Washington; released from active military service 10 August 2005-12 June 2007 and reverted to reserve status
    • (Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment reorganized and redesignated16 September 2005 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company)
    • (Element of Company B ordered into active military service 1 August 2007 at Fort Lewis, Washington; released from active military service 3 September 2008 and reverted to reserve status)
    • Ordered into active military service 15 July-10 September 2008 at Fort Lewis, Washington; released from active military service 18 August-14 October 2009 and reverted to reserve status
