  • Reorganized and redesignated 14 February 1944 as Company B, 81st Chemical Battalion, Motorized
  • Reorganized and redesignated 25 February 1945 as Company B, 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion
  • Inactivated 7 November 1945 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
  • Redesignated 28 June 1951 as the 45th Chemical Smoke Generator Company and allotted to the Regular Army
  • Activated 23 July 1951 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • Reorganized and redesignated 20 October 1953 as the 45th Chemical Company
  • Inactivated 30 September 1956 at Brize Norton, England
  • Activated 7 January 1958 at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah
  • Inactivated 19 December 1972 at Fort Lewis, Washington
  • Assigned 1 September 1983 to the 5th Infantry Division and activated at Fort Polk, Louisiana
  • Inactivated 15 December 1992 at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and relieved from assignment to the 5th Infantry Division
  • Activated 16 April 2016 at Fort Lewis, Washington
