Reorganized and redesignated in 1921 as the Band Section, Service Battery, 17th Field Artillery

Separated from Service Battery 6 July 1927 and reorganized and redesignated as the Band, 17th Field Artillery

Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1944 as the 245th Army Band

Reorganized and redesignated 27 June 1944 as the 245th Army Ground Forces Band

Inactivated 5 November 1945 in Italy

Activated 15 June 1946 in Italy

Inactivated 30 April 1947 in Italy

Redesignated 1 June 1947 as the 245th Army Band

Redesignated 19 August 1948 as the 18th Army Band

Activated 15 November 1948 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts

Inactivated 15 September 1993 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts

Transferred 1 January 2011 to the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command and activated at Virginia Beach, Virginia
