  • Activated 20 November 1942 at Camp Haan, California
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 January 1944 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 31st Antiaircraft Artillery Brigade
  • Inactivated 30 June 1946 in Germany
  • Activated 30 November 1948 at Fort Bliss, Texas
  • Reorganized and redesignated 20 March 1958 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 31st Artillery Brigade
  • Inactivated 26 July 1960 at McChord Air Force Base, Washington
  • Activated 15 December 1961 at Lockport Air Force Station, New York
  • Redesignated 15 March 1972 as Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade
