Reorganized and redesignated 5 October 1944 as the 447th Signal Heavy Construction Battalion

Inactivated 25 October 1945 at Camp Shanks, New York

Redesignated 3 December 1954 as the 447th Signal Battalion and allotted to the Regular Army

Activated 28 January 1955 in Germany

Inactivated 19 August 1963 in Germany

Activated 14 February 1964 in Germany

Inactivated 13 November 1967 in Germany

Headquarters transferred 23 September 1986 to the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command and activated at Fort Gordon, Georgia
