Reorganized and redesignated 25 May 1953 as the 56th Military Police Company

Inactivated 20 February 1956 at Camp Gordon, Georgia

Activated 1 April 1963 at Fort Richardson, Alaska

Inactivated 15 November 1993 at Fort Richardson, Alaska

Withdrawn 13 April 2004 from the Regular Army and allotted to the Army Reserve
