            Constituted 26 November 1943 in the Army of the United States as the 500th Engineer Light Ponton Company

            Activated 20 December 1943 at Fort DuPont, Delaware

            Reorganized and redesignated 16 November 1945 as the 500th Engineer Panel Bridge Transport Company

            Inactivated 2 December 1948 at Camp Campbell, Kentucky

            Redesignated 28 October 1954 as the 500th Engineer Company; concurrently allotted to the Regular Army, and activated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina

            Inactivated 30 April 1971 in Vietnam

            Activated 16 July 2008 in Germany
