Constituted 12 November 1942 in the Army of the United States as Company A, 127th Airborne Engineer Battalion

Activated 25 February 1943 at Camp Mackall, North Carolina, as an element of the 11th Airborne Division

Allotted 15 November 1948 to the Regular Army

Redesignated 26 February 1951 as Engineer Company, 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, and relieved from assignment to the 11th Airborne Division

Redesignated 2 June 1954 as the 22d Airborne Engineer Company, and remained an element of the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team

Inactivated 13 July 1956 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and relieved from assignment to the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team

Redesignated 2 March 1967 as the 22d Engineer Company

Activated 25 April 1967 at Fort Lewis, Washington

Inactivated 19 June 1972 at Fort Lewis, Washington

Activated 16 October 2009 at Fort Lewis, Washington
