            Constituted 13 April 1942 in the Army of the United States as the Band, 505th Coast Artillery

            Activated 20 June 1942 at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts

            Reorganized and redesignated 27 June 1944 as the 232d Army Ground Forces Band

            Inactivated 25 September 1945 in Italy

            Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 232d Army Band

            Redesignated 18 June 1948 as the 10th Infantry Division Band

            Allotted 25 June 1948 to the Regular Army

            Activated 1 July 1948 at Fort Riley, Kansas

            Inactivated 14 June 1958 at Fort Benning, Georgia

            Redesignated 3 November 1987 as the 10th Mountain Division Band and activated at Fort Drum, New York
