The U. S. Army Center of Military History is pleased to announce the latest volume in the Army Lineage Series.

A revised edition of Armies, Corps, Divisions, and Separate Brigades serves as a companion volume to the recently published Maneuver and Firepower: The Evolution of Divisions and Separate Brigades.  Both volumes are the work of John B. Wilson, formerly of the Center’s Organizational History Branch. Armies, Corps, Divisions, and Separate Brigades contains a compilation of the lineage and honors and heraldic items of these units as of 1 October 1997.  Bibliographic references are also included for further research.
